Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of Bahian flavour!
Acarajé is an iconic street food from Bahia, in northeastern Brazil, with deep Afro-Brazilian roots. Made from black-eyed peas and onions, the fritter is traditionally fried in dendê oil—red palm oil that gives it its distinctive golden colour and rich flavour—then split open and filled.
